ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER THE NEC CONFERENCE HELD ON 26 September 2005 AT 12.40 AT THE SEAT OF NEC.

On 26 September at 12.40 at the seat of the National Electoral Commission another press conference was held.

The following participated in the conference:

The conference was chaired by Judge Ferdynand Rymarz, who presented the announcement of NEC on the partial unofficial results of elections for the Sejm and the Senate of the Republic of Poland as at 12.20 p.m. on 26 September 2005.

According to the information obtained electronically on the results of the elections from 22 652 polling stations constituting 90.01 % of the total number of the polling stations, the National Electoral Commission announces that the partial unofficial results of the elections concerning the number of ballots cast on individual lists of the electoral committees and the distribution of the mandates between the individual electoral committees as determined on the basis of information from these polling stations are the following:

1) number of eligible electors was 27 201 616;
2) number of electors to whom the ballot cards were issued was 10 926 334;
3) the turnout was 40.17 %;
4) number of valid ballot cards was 10 910 541;
5) number of valid votes cast jointly on all district lists countrywide was 10 514 456 votes;
6) number of valid ballots cast on individual district lists was:
