ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION (NEC) CONFERENCE ON 27 SEPTEMBER AT 8 A.M. AT THE SEAT OF NEC

On 27 September 2005 at 8 a.m. at the seat of the National Electoral Commission another press conference on the voting for the Parliament and the Senate of the Republic of Poland was held.

The conference was chaired by Judge Stanisław Kosmal who presented the report of NEC on the collective results of the voting for the district deputy candidate lists.

REPORT

Pursuant to Art. 165 section 2 of the Act of 12 April 2001 – The Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland Election Ordinance (Journal of Laws No. 46, item 499, No. 74, item 786 and No. 154, item 1802 of 2002 No. 14, item 128, No. 113, item 984, No. 127, item 1089 and No. 153, item 1271, of 2003 No. 57, item 507 and No. 130, item 1188, z 2004 No. 25, item 219 and of 2005 No. 140 item 1173) the National Electoral Commission announces the following.

I.

In the Elections for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland written for 25 September 2005, 11 804 676 of valid votes were cast on the district deputy candidate lists.

II.

The results showing the valid votes cast on the individual deputy candidate lists are as follows:

20)list no. 19 put forward by the Social Rescuers Elector Electoral Committee in constituency no. 9 valid votes 982, i.e. 0.01% ,
21)list no. 19 put forward by the “German Ethnic Minority” Elector Electoral Committee in constituency no. 21 valid votes 34 469, i.e. 0.29% ,
22)List no. 19 put forward by the “Silesian German Ethnic Minority” Elector Electoral Committee in constituency no. 29 valid votes 5 581, i.e. 0.05% .

III.

The following district deputy candidate lists satisfy the conditions for participating in the mandate distribution in individual constituencies:

Judge Stanisław Kosmal in reply to the query of the journalists concerning the election result of the Polish Family League said: We cannot speak for the commission assigning the mandate – you have to address them to find out the information. The next conference during which the mandate distribution information will be provided has been schedule for 6 p.m. at the seat of NEC.

1)District lists put forward by the political party committees or elector electoral committees which received at least 5% valid votes countrywide (art. 133 section 1 of the Lection Ordinance)
- lists no. 3 put forward by the Polish Family League Electoral Committee,
- lists no. 6 put forward by the Law and Justice Electoral Committee,
- lists no. 7 put forward by the Social Democratic Alliance Electoral Committee,
- lists no. 8 put forward by the Civic Platform Electoral Committee,
- lists no. 10 put forward by the Polish Peasant’s Party Electoral Committee,
- lists no. 15 put forward by the Self-defense Electoral Committee;
2)The following electoral committees:
- “German Ethnic Minority” Elector Electoral Committee,
- “Silesian German Ethnic Minority” Elector Electoral Committee,
Established by the electors associated in the registered ethnic minority organizations, submitted to the National Electoral Commission a representation referred to in art. 134 section 1 of the Election Ordinance and their lists number 19 registered respectively in constituencies no. 21 and no. 29 are exempt from he condition referred to in art. 133 section 1 of the Election Ordinance.
