ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AT 12.30 A.M. AT THE SEAT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION (NEC) IN WARSAW

 

On 10 October 2005 at 12.30 a.m. at the seat of the National Electoral Commission at Wiejska Street in Warsaw a press conference was held concerning the Elections for the President of the Republic of Poland.

The Chairman of NEC made an announcement about partial unofficial results of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Poland established at 12.17 a.m. on 10 October 2005.

 

 

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION

about partial unofficial results of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Poland established at 12.17 a.m. on 10 October 2005.

 

 

 

On the basis of the data received electronically from 15 587 constituencies, which constitutes 61.93% of the total number of all constituencies, the National Electoral Commission announces that the partial unofficial results concerning the number of votes cast for particular candidates are as follows:

 

1. The number of eligible voters was 17 851 550;
2. The number of ballot cards issued was 8 765 616;
3. The turnout was 49.10%;
4. The number of valid votes cast countrywide was 8 703 872;
5. The number of valid votes cast for particular candidates is as follows:
