AFTER PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE SEAT OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION (NEC) IN
WARSAW
On 9 October
2005, at 11.25 p.m. at the seat of the National Electoral Commission at Wiejska Street a press conference was held concerning the Elections for the President of the
Republic of Poland.

The chairman of the National Electoral Commission made an
announcement concerning partial unofficial results of the Presidential
Elections in the Republic of Poland established at 11.00 p.m. on 9 October
2005.
ANNOUNCEMENT
OF THE NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION
about
partial unofficial results of the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Poland established at 11 p.m. on 9 October 2005.
On the basis
of the data received electronically from 4 526 constituencies, which
constitutes 17,98% of the total number of all constituencies, the National
Electoral Commission announces that the partial unofficial results concerning
the number of votes cast for particular candidates are as follows:
- The number
of eligible voters was 5 117 491;
- The number
of ballot cards issued was 2 555 284;
- The turnout
was 49,93%;
- The number
of valid cards issued countrywide was 2 538 223;
- The number
of valid cards cast for particular candidates is as follows:
